Già nota al pubblico europeo (oltre ad Ascona sono stati più volte anche al Jazz Festival Breda), The Syncopators è una jazz band australiana, attiva dal 1984, che per stile e sound non ha nulla da invidiare alle migliori compagini americane. I suoi membri sono tutti musicisti affermati della scena australiana: fondatore della band è Chris Ludowyk (trombone / voce). Fra i suoi musicisti da segnalare Peter Gaudion (tromba / voce) che ha suonato e registrato con Jimmy Witherspoon, Ralph Sutton, Red Holloway, Herb Ellis, Barney Kessel, Kenny Davern, Art Hodes, Don Ewell, Red Richards, Don Burrows e James Morrison, fra i tanti.
