ALESSI supports the (RED) campaign in the fight against AIDS
and launches a series of special editions
for the campaign to raise awareness and money for the Global Fund
New York, NY – ALESSI is joining forces with (RED) to raise funds in support of the fight against AIDS and to increase social awareness on an ever-current issue. The official launch of the campaign “Eat (RED) Drink (RED) Save Lives” in support of the Global Fund was held on 1st June 2015 with the first of the events that, during this month, will involve culinary figures from around the world serving up delicious (RED)-inspired experiences under the guidance of Mario Batali.
ALESSI has always been committed to humanitarian causes with social responsibility initiatives in its local area and projects on an international scale, such as its longstanding partnership with Ai.Bi. Amici dei Bambini (http://www.aibi.it/ita/). ALESSI is particularly proud to be contributing to the global campaign for the fight against AIDS through its partnership with (RED), a non-profit organisation created by Bono and Bobby Shiver in 2006.
For (RED), ALESSI has launched special editions of two popular and bestselling icons: the “Anna G.” and “Alessandro M” corkscrews designed by Alessandro Mendini. Produced exclusively for this partnership with (RED), the two new versions are red and feature a white heart on the front, chosen as a symbol to motivate people to put their hearts into generating a positive social change.
